30/08/2011 · Stephen, currently Word 97 is set up in the "XP Mode" that Windows 7 Pro ships with, essentially a Virtual PC running Windows XP. That particular Target line seems to start the Virtual PC software just to run Word 97. This does not touch the Compatibility settings in the shortcut's properties. I haven't been able to change or take out anything in the target line without breaking it.
